Suzanne Hult, Migrant and Refugee Education
The THRIVE club is an after-school
leadership program for migrant students in five high schools—Benson, Bryan,
Central, Northwest, and South. It consists of nearly 200 students.
Through acts of community service, teambuilding activities, and weekly
leadership lessons, students learn to become leaders. The club is
designed to help students become leaders who give back to the community through
acts of volunteer service. In the club we learn how to communicate with
each other, work together to accomplish a goal, and make good decisions in
school and in our personal values.
To unite and equip loyal servant
leaders with the right tools to overcome any obstacle by promoting diverse
communities, integrity, and education.
