A Parental Involvement Primer:
Section 1118 of the No Child Left Behind Act

Parental involvement has always been a key component of the Title I program. However, since passage of NCLB in 2001, it has a specific statutory definition. Now more than ever, parents need to familiarize themselves with the current law's impact and what it requires of them and their children's school. The following is taken from guidelines issued by the Department of Education, April 23, 2004:
