ENERGY STAR Rating System
OPS building has been benchmarked using the Environmental Protection
Agency's ENERGY STAR program. The program has developed energy
performance rating systems for several commercial and institutional
building types and manufacturing facilities. These ratings provide a
means for benchmarking the energy efficiency of specific buildings and
industrial plants against the energy performance of similar facilities.
Energy Management Team pays close attention to the schools'
ratings. The team implements best practices to ensure Omaha
Public Schools are increasing their ratings. A list of schools and
other facilities and their ENERGY STAR ratings as of March 2017 are shown on the following pages/tabs. The District average is 71.4 These ratings are updated as utility data becomes available.
