The Benson JROTC cadre has officially reached its fundraising goal for a long-planned trip to Normandy, France, for the 70th anniversary of D-Day.
The cadre raised $91,000 in all.

Nebraska state Sens. Bob Krist and Burke Harr co-sponsored Legislative Resolution 465 recognizing Benson High Magnet’s JROTC for their 20-year tradition of excellence and for being selected to represent the state of Nebraska during the 70th Anniversary D-Day Memorial Parade in Normandy, France, on June 6, 2014.  A ceremony was held on Friday, March 28, at 1:30 p.m., in Benson’s gym for the reading of LR 465.
