Our Mission:

The mission of Student/Community Relations is to provide resources and build relationships that lead to improved student learning, stronger families, and healthier communities.

Roles and Functions

To promote a positive human relations climate district-wide, resolve public concerns regarding incidents in the schools, advocate for equity issues, and serve as a vital link between families, schools and community.

Student Community Relations (SCR) Goals:

Goal 1: To initiate and/or coordinate programs that monitor and provide special support services for all students.
Goal 2: To provide programs and services with emphasis on human relation skills, cultural awareness, diversity, equity issues, and communication skills, and crisis prevention/intervention and management.
Goal 3: To increase family and community engagement in the educational process to improve students' academic success, social responsibility, and physical and emotional well being.
Goal 4: To enhance the coordination of drug free, tobacco, and gang prevention programs district-wide.
