Mission Statement:

The mission of the Supply Division of Business Services is to support the District's goal of placing the needs of students and all children first by focusing on the following services and practices:

  • Provide prompt delivery of supplies requested by schools and departments.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with District staff.
  • Comply with the policies and regulations set forth by the Board of Education and District management.
  • Create a safe, pleasant, and professional work environment by treating our co-workers, other OPS staff, and those outside OPS with respect and dignity.
  • Work to enhance the distribution system through efficient use of technology, communications, and training.

All calls routed to the main office regarding shipments, deliveries, and requisition inquiries from OPS internal customers. The office staff are working closely with the Purchasing Department and Account Payable to monitor all Purchase Orders have shipped to the Distribution Center. The office staff also dispatch emergency deliveries to Schools/Departments per requests in order to serve Students, Buildings and Staff. The office can arrange with Schools/Departments come to the Distribution Center to pick up their items as needed.

Warehouse staff are responsible for checking all deliveries when goods arrive at receiving docks. All Purchase Orders are logged into the Receiving Log. Warehouse staff notify Office staff for any damage of goods on Purchase Orders. Warehouse staff will follow the checking procedures and turn Purchase Order copies to the Office to be received into PeopleSoft Financial System. Warehouse staff are also responsible for picking all Storeroom, Annual Order, Textbook Request items based on picking documents issued by the Office. There are average 15 to 20 Schools/Departments receive their orders per day delivered by the Warehouse staff with dedicated two drivers and two delivery trucks.
Surplus Furniture  

Surplus Furniture staff are responsible for receiving all surplus furniture items from Schools and other OPS sites to be evaluated whether to be repaired, restocked or auctioned. Surplus Furniture staff are responsible for processing Surplus Item requests from Schools/Departments for pick ups, deliveries using the TMA system.
