Special diets are provided to students with a documented disability or a medical condition requiring special dietary restrictions.
A current Medical Statement for Students Requiring Special Meals must be completed and submitted to Nutrition Services for Dietician approval prior to the initiation of a special diet. Any change in the diet will require submission of a new and revised physician signed Medical Statement for Students Requiring Special Meals.
The form is available by clicking the link below or it is available at your child's school. It must be completed by a licensed physician (M.D., ARNP, O.D., or PA).
Special diet accomodations can not be made until the request is processed and implemented by the Dietician. The request may take up to 5 days to implement.
Schools do not make modifications to meals based solely on food preferences. Most food preferences may be accomodated by making choices that already on the serving line.
The attached allergen Information document shows all of our current menu items and indicates if they have any of the main allergens according to the ingredient statement. These allergens include peanuts, milk, wheat/gluten, egg, fish, shellfish, msg, and soy. For a specific listing for our products, please refer to the Ingredient Listing on our website.
A number of the items are produced in our kitchens. Although a certain ingredient may not appear in the recipe, that ingredient or allergen may be present in our facility. Also, because we purchase products from manufacturers, we cannot guarantee the food products are free of traces of a particular food ingredient at any time.
Throughout the year, we may be adding new products to our menu. The product list will be updated periodically. Additionally, because of our bidding process, substitutions are sometimes necessary.
If you have any questions regarding a particular item, please do not hesitate to contact us.
