Community to Classroom Connections Webinar Series

Coming this Fall, the Omaha Public School’s Office of Equity and Diversity (OED) will be hosting a webinar series to support the Strategic Framework for Educational Equity. The Community To Classroom Connections (#C3) Webinar Series will be a series of discussions that help the illustrate the importance of Access and Opportunity, Pursuing Diversity, Building Efficacy, and Social Responsibility as they are connected to the overall development of an equitable school district and society.

The Commitment

Over the course of the webinar series educators, school supporters, thought partners, and innovators will communicate messages, stories, and directives that support the key concepts of Education Equity with a promise to inspire and provoke participants to continue in their journeys for change. The professional development opportunity and community platform will be a shared space for participants to join and learn from each other as we seek to make our schools and community a more inclusive environment.

How it Works

Modeled after the Families Learning from Families and student EXPRESSIONS engagement strategy that OPS launched during the Summer of 2020, participants can register to participate in the workshop series by clicking the link below. Meeting information for each session will be sent a few days prior to the session date to all individuals who have signed up for #C3. Each session will present opportunities for individuals to be guest presenters, topic facilitators both live and recorded. We will get this done together
