NEW EXHIBIT OPENING at EL MUSEO LATINO

El Museo Latino is pleased to present the exhibition, Apostillas, by Mina Barcenas. The exhibit is part of the museum's Immigrant Latino Emerging Artist Series.

Apostilles

Artist's book formed by 20 photos and texts, where I explore the relationship between visual and literary metaphors. I made a photo of 20 books and summoned 20 friends, with whom I shared readings, to write a text about the book and / or the image.


Technique: Digital printing / cotton paper + Japanese accordion binding with cardboard pastes lined with handmade Japanese paper Washi + fabric box.

Libro de artista formado por 20 fotos y textos, donde exploro la relación entre las metáforas visual y literaria. Realicé una foto de 20 libros y convoqué a 20 amigos, con los que compartí lecturas, a escribir un texto sobre el libro y/o la imagen.


Técnica: Impresión digital / papel de algodón + Encuadernación acordeón japonés con pastas de cartón forradas con papel japonés hecho a mano Washi + caja de tela.
