On Monday, June 29, 2020 at 2:00 P.M., a meeting conducted by the Omaha Public Schools will take place virtually through Microsoft Teams. The purpose of the meeting will be to provide an opportunity for parents and representatives of non-public schools to participate in the development of a plan for providing special education services to children with disabilities who attend non-public schools and home schools which are within the Omaha Public School district for the 2020-2021 school year. Parents of a home schooled child or a child attending a non-public school who has been or may be identified with a disability and attend a non-public school within the Omaha Public School district are urged to attend. If You Have Moved in the Past Year, Please Update Your Address

Student Transportation has begun to develop bus routes for the 2020-21 school year. To ensure that eligible students are accurately routed, it is important that any changes to your student’s address, which has not already been updated with the District, needs to be updated with the Student Placement Office no later than June 15, 2020.

To update your address, please contact our Student Placement office by one of the following options:

Email: studentplacement@ops.org  (preferred)

Phone: 531-299-0302 (you will need to leave a voice message and we will return your call.)

All address changes will require verification.  If you are unable to email a copy of your proof of address , please let us know so we can assist you in another method. We accept any of the following documents for proof of address: OPPD, MUD, Century Link or Cox Cable statements, a purchase or rental agreement for the residence, a Medicare/Medicaid card or, if the student is in foster care, a Superintendent's Letter.  Address verification must show the name and correct address of the parent/guardian.

This message is intended only for families who have moved to a new address within the past year and have not updated the information with the District.

Thank you for your attention, and for your support of Omaha Public Schools.
